GO MODULAR
A-LINX Corporate Overview
Discover how A-LINX combines modular and panelized construction, integrated expertise, and precision manufacturing to deliver stronger, faster, and more scalable building solutions.
Welcome to A-LINX
A-LINX is a leader in volumetric and panelized construction. As part of the Amico group of companies, A-LINX draws on in-house expertise across a broad range of construction disciplines. Since 2016, the team has been driven by innovation and a vision for practical, high-performance building.
Vertically Integrated
Self-performance across a wide range of disciplines gives A-LINX and its affiliates the ability to innovate and advance practical solutions for Canada’s infrastructure challenges.
- Panelized and modular construction
- Robotics and automated fabrication
- Electrical and building systems
- Road surfacing and infrastructure
- Design-build delivery and property development
Panelized Construction
The A-LINX system is a comprehensive approach to light-gauge steel construction. Its factory-controlled process provides significant advantages in precision, schedule, and design flexibility.
Key structural components include:
- Floor assemblies: composite decks, hollow-core plank, open-web steel joists, and standard C-joists.
- Exterior walls: insulation, air barriers, sheathing, and optional pre-installed EIFS, faux brick, fibre-cement, or aluminum finishes.
- Prefab panels: load- and wind-bearing panels engineered for each superstructure.
- Structural steel: posts, angles, HSS, and W sections where required.
- Lintels: steel stud/track or structural beams above openings.
- Slab shoring: temporary support during concrete placement and curing.
Typical inclusions include cast-in-place cores, pre-installed windows and doors, prefabricated mechanical openings, shop drawings, and engineering.
Modular Construction
Panelized and modular construction are reshaping conventional building methods. As part of the Amico group, A-LINX draws on diverse technical and financial resources to advance construction automation and standardization. Its robotics assembly capabilities support the next generation of efficient, repeatable production.
Medical Applications
MEDICAL Canada’s public health system is under intense pressure to innovate, to heighten responsiveness and to operate under increasingly strained financial structures. Modular construction offers a fully scalable and rapidly deployable solution for long-term facility development and for short/mid-term emergency response. A-LINX medical units are constructed to consistently precise tolerances in a sanitary, controlled manufacturing environment that meets or exceeds regulatory standards. APPLICATIONS
Residential Applications
APPLICATIONS Volumetric construction provides timely solutions for Canada’s housing challenges. Modular components are stronger, more resilient to the elements, more precisely built and ultimately more affordable than conventional construction methods. See page 16 for a detailed list of benefits. RESIDENTIAL
Commercial Applications
A-LINX is actively pursuing modular applications across a variety of commercial uses, including data centres, detention facilities, modular office structures and more. In addition to scalability, precision, process control and cost management, this technology also adds rapid deployment that allows enterprises to respond to opportunities on a more timely basis. The future is modular. COMMERCIAL APPLICATIONS
Key Benefits
Built for Canada’s housing and infrastructure challenges.
- Factory-built using modern methods aligned with the National Building Code.
- Rapid deployment in urban, rural, and remote locations.
- Solutions that scale from individual ADUs to multi-storey communities.
- Reduced construction timelines with finished modules ready for placement.
Fully integrated delivery includes design, engineering, fabrication, transport, and site construction. Standardized systems support repeatable rollout without re-engineering, while flexible layouts and finishes adapt to local needs.
- Stronger, non-combustible, and engineered for transport, wind, and seismic conditions.
- Durable, healthy, and resistant to rot, termites, mold, and shrinkage.
- Factory production reduces waste, weather delays, and schedule risk.
- Recyclable steel supports high-performance energy design and airtight construction.
The result: a faster, stronger, more sustainable building solution designed to scale.
